Mandala Gallery
The word “mandala” comes from the Sanskrit language and is loosely translated as circle. Mandalas have been used for centuries in many religious traditions as a tool for prayer and creative expression. Hildegard von Bingen, a 12th-century Christian nun known for her plays, liturgies and hymns, also created many beautiful mandalas to express her visions and beliefs. I enjoy creating mandalas as part of my personal journaling. The images here are all symbolic of events and seasons in my life. May you enjoy my mandala gallery! ~Dana |
