A little of my personal history:

• I've been married 31 years.
• I've had nine pregnancies and two miscarriages.
• I have seven children.
• Two of my babies were premature (one at 36 weeks and one at 32 weeks).
• One birth was by cesarean-section for prematurity and breech.
• Five births were VBAC's (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean).
• Six of my children were born at a hospital.
• One baby was born at home.
• I breast-fed all seven babies.
• I have 3 grandchildren born at home.

Experience:

Since 1982, I have attended 566 couples in childbirth: 426 hospital births (as a doula) and 140 homebirths—67 assists and 73 as primary care giver. During this time I have also assisted other midwives in Colorado and Wyoming at births for which I have not kept statistics.
